Normally, we'd be more than happy to sell you items from our shopping pages, but everything is on the road to our art festivals. Feel free to look around, nonetheless.
Another open segment bowl with alternating rows of thicker and thinner pieces of wood; the shape is somewhat reminiscent of a Chinese lantern. The stark contrast of the birch and wenge woods leads itself very well to the checkerboard pattern. It is almost 8" in diameter and 5" tall. Food safe finish.
Another chaos bowl. I think I'll have to hire a mathematician to tell me exactly how many patterns are possible. For now, I can tell you that each one is unique! The random pattern of wood in the bowl is more than chaos - it is BEAUTIFUL. This bowl measures 11-1/2" in diameter and just over 4" tall. Food safe finish.
Here is another natural edge, cherry bowl. With the natural edge, the grain beautifully follows the curvature of the bowl. The rim of this bowl beautifully shows where insect activity took place below the bark. It measures almost 8" in diameter and 4" tall. Food safe finish.
This checkerboard patterned lantern bowl is made with zebrawood and padauk. With the pronounced variations of grain in the zebrawood, this bowl has a unique appearance from every angle. It is almost 8" in diameter and 5" tall. Food safe finish.
Here's another pattern for that lantern bowl - STRIPES! On this bowl, the darker part of the zebrawood is a perfect match for the walnut. It is almost 8" in diameter and 5" tall. Food safe finish.
Open segment bowls add so much character to any home's decor. The open segments give an appearance of lightness. The bowls are often called baskets as well. (Feel free to call it what you wish.) If placed near a window, the shadows created change throughout the day. (You can even see some of the shadow pattern to the left of the bowl in the picture.) The warm colors of both wood species is breathtaking. With a food safe finish and the openness of the bowl, this makes a perfect way to have fresh fruit out on the countertop throughout the year. Bowl measures 9" in diameter and is 4-1/2" tall.
