These bowls, made of maple, are colored black on the inside. Each has a black wave, one protruding and the other inset.

This was the 2nd Place for wood as the medium. It was for the entire booth, not a particular piece.
This is a bowl from box elder. All of the "defects" are the natural work of Mother Nature. This bowl is approximately 22" in diameter.
This is an example of my segmented work. This bowl was turned on a lathe, then cut apart and reassembled and the legs were carved. It is made of mahogany, maple, wenge and padauk.
